How do I buy tickets to a show?
Over the phone: Call 02 9563 6103, purchase with credit card
Online: click the “buy tickets” link on the event listing
In person: the Access Office is located on level 1, Manning House, Manning Rd. University of Sydney.

How do I collect tickets?
If you bought over the phone: you will be on the “Manning Bar Pre Sales” list at the front door
Online: depending on the provider from which you bought tickets and what ticket collection option you selected.
In person: you will either be given a ticket or added to the “Manning Bar Pre Sales” list at the front door.

Is there a booking fee on each ticket?
Yes – if you purchase through the Manning box office a booking fee of $2.50 per ticket is charged.
Other providers charge varying booking fees.
 
Are shows at Manning Bar seated or standing?
Most shows at Manning Bar are general admission & standing room only.

Does Manning Bar have wheelchair access?
Yes. Please ask one of our venue staff for assistance on arrival or call 9563 6102 to discuss any special requirements.

What standard of behaviour is expected of me at Manning Bar?
Manning is situated within the University of Sydney. Please respect this unique environment No intoxication, illegal activity, moshing and other dangerous or anti social behaviour will be tolerated.

What does Over 18’s Only mean?
Shows listed as Over 18’s only can only be attended by patrons over the age of 18 who have valid proof of age i.e drivers license, current passport, RTA proof of age card. International drivers licenses are not acceptable ID.

What does Licensed / All Ages mean?
Shows listed as Licensed / All Ages can be attended by patrons under the age of 18. We recommend that any patron under the age of 15 be in the company of a parent or guardian.
The main part of the venue is de-licensed, that is, no alcohol is available.
To purchase alcohol a patron must gain a wristband by showing valid ID and then proceed to the licensed area on the balcony. Alcohol can only be consumed on the balcony and cannot be brought into the main auditorium.

What time do shows normally start and finish?
Over 18’s show’s normally start at 8pm and finish at 12am
Licensed / All Ages shows normally start at 7pm and finish at 11pm

Can I bring recording devices like audio, tape, camera or film into Manning Bar?
No, you cannot record an artist's performance. You would require permission from the artist as per the Copyright Act, as the performance is "owned" by the artist. The authority to allow or not allow such recording devices on the night rests with the artists performing and not the venue.  Anyone using a recording device may be asked to leave and the device may be confiscated

What happens if I lose my ticket?
Once you have collected your tickets they are your responsibility. Unfortunately we are unable to replace a lost ticket regardless of the method of purchase.
Please treat your tickets like cash, as they are not replaceable.

What do you do with the information that you request from me?
The information we request is used in the processing of your tickets or to provide you with special offers or information. In the event of a postponed or cancelled event, Manning Bar will endeavour to make contact with you. As per the Privacy Act, the information is not supplied to any third party.

Is Manning bar non smoking?
Yes, the venue is a non smoking area. Smoking is permitted on the balcony from which the stage is visible.

Is there food available?
Yes, Manning BBQ runs from 12pm to 8pm on weekdays. See menu here.

How loud are shows? Are there ear plugs available?
Shows vary in volume but we strongly recommend that you use caution and common sense to ensure that you protect your hearing.
Ear plugs are available from the bar for $1 (for a pack of two)
